Dedicated Christian teachers
Teachers are a major influence in the life of a child. All ACA faculty and staff members profess Christ as Lord of their lives and regard their positions as service to Him. ACA teachers hold a bachelor or advanced degree in education and are certified through the state of Georgia or hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 18 hours of professional education courses. All faculty and staff have passed a background check and have been certified in CPR and first aid.
Community
Students are taught to value, respect, and serve others on a daily basis. To help with this process, each class participates in at least one age-appropriate service project, whether it’s helping foster children or senior citizens. Classes are involved in community events such as holiday celebrations, like Veterans Day.
We still honor traditional subjects
While we believe in the importance of technology, we still teach traditional subjects of science, social studies, math, language arts and bible. In first grade we begin cursive, which still has an important value in the learning process. Phonics is taught to provide skills to be independent readers. Enrichment classes such as art, music, PE, Spanish, computer, media, character development and recess, allow for fun and balance in the school day.
Special events make school fun
Students enjoy special events such as Christmas musicals, talent shows, grandparents day, art shows, and other opportunities for performance and fun. All students have the opportunity to shine.
Dedicated to Christian education
Students study the Bible and pray together every day and discover the importance of following God’s leadership for their lives. Students also attend chapel each week, taking turns in leading worship time. SOAR is an enrichment special where students learn how to apply biblical teaching into their everyday life.
