At Alpharetta Christian Academy, we understand the financial commitment a family makes when they choose private education. As a ministry of First Baptist Church Alpharetta, we are dedicated to assisting families who value ACA’s Christian education but have financial needs. While limited amounts of financial assistance are available for qualifying applicants, our goal is to invest in our future ACA families.
Most financial aid provided is through donations from our Georgia Student Scholarship Organization, GaSSO. Through this program, Georgia taxpayers can redirect Georgia income tax dollars to eligible Georgia private schools. GaSSO scholarships are available to families who qualify. To determine your eligibility for GaSSO funds, please visit georgiasso.com. Select the Parents Tab to find out more about GaSSO’s guidelines on pledging, donating, and to inquire about scholarships.
The state of Georgia has the following defined parameters as to who is eligible to receive an SSO scholarship:
A student who is eligible to enroll in a qualified (public) Pre-K4, kindergarten (K5), or 1st grade program.
A student must be a Georgia resident who is currently enrolled in and has attended a Georgia public school.
A student was enrolled in an official homeschool program for at least one year.
Applying for Financial Aid
Alpharetta Christian Academy's admission application is now online! In order to apply for financial aid, your students' application and fees must first be submitted. Applicants are to complete the ACA Grant & Financial Aid Assessment form after applying online for admission here. Only one form is necessary per family. All requested forms must be submitted before an application will be considered.
Our ACA Scholarship Committee will then meet to evaluate the applications received. While the Georgia Student Scholarship Organization has qualifications in place, ACA has additional guidelines to determine the best use for scholarship funds for our school. Approval or denial email notifications will be sent to all applicants at a later date.
Financial aid applications will be available beginning March 1st. Applications, along with all supporting documentation, should be submitted no later than April 1st.
Again, tuition assistance is awarded based on financial need, ACA predetermined qualifications, and the availability of funds. The completion of the financial assistance application is not a binding agreement that assistance is available or will be granted. Applicants who receive financial aid must apply for financial aid each year.
