ADMISSIONS FAQ’s

  • To gain a comprehensive understanding of our school's mission, hours of operation, accreditations, and curriculum, please take a moment to review the ACA School Profile here.

  • Alpharetta Christian Academy is a ministry of the First Baptist Church of Alpharetta. As such, our primary goal is to share the good news of Jesus within our community. We are not a covenant school, which requires at least one parent to have a personal relationship with Christ. All staff members are required to sign a statement of faith outlining their personal relationship with Christ and acknowledge that they believe and agree with the FBCA doctrine.

    • Preschool: No uniforms are required.

    • Elementary: Uniforms are required for kindergarten -5th grade.

  • At Alpharetta Christian Academy, we understand the financial commitment a family makes when they choose private education. We are dedicated to assisting families who value ACA’s Christian education but have financial needs. While limited amounts of financial assistance are available for qualifying applicants, our goal is to invest in our future ACA families. In order to apply for financial aid, your students' application and fees must first be submitted. Applicants are to complete the ACA Grant & Financial Aid Assessment form online after applying for admission. Financial aid applications will be available beginning March 1st. Applications, along with all supporting documentation, should be submitted no later than April 1st.

  • Our school calendar is mostly aligned with Fulton County Schools. Although there may be a few variations, we believe this approach is beneficial for parents dealing with multiple children attending different schools in the same area as it helps them better manage scheduling.

  • Our goal is to achieve 100% parent participation in our annual fundraising campaign. We are grateful for our parents' recognition of our school's mission, unwavering dedication to academic excellence, and commitment to providing affordable private Christian education within the community. These funds help finance a range of initiatives that tuition may not sufficiently cover. Fundraising levels vary to offer a diverse range of options that cater to parents with varying financial situations.

  • We recognize the importance of communication in establishing classroom expectations, providing transparency, and sharing critical dates with parents. We utilize various communication channels, such as the ACA app, monthly preschool newsletters, weekly elementary newsletters, individual teacher newsletters, and daily folders of the children, to ensure parents remain informed about all that's happening at school.

    • Preschool: Admissions testing is not required. We do provide families with a skills list for “Successful Preschoolers”. We want to make sure our school is the best fit for your child.

    • Elementary: Admissions testing is required for all incoming K-5th grade students. These tests look at a variety of developmental tasks such as language, cognitive skills, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, and more. This is a general overview for grade level skills and does not require any additional preparation from the parent.
